Special thanks to Plaza MINI for sponsoring this article.

    First Impression

The Mini is rich with history, and over its lifetime since 1959 it has gone through so much, from being a small, usable, yet fun city car, to being a plucky-Brit race car in David among Goliaths battles, to terrible British management that results in itís acquisition by BMW, the Mini has gone through it all.

Much like other legendary sports cars with a large following such as the Porsche 911, the Mini has itís purists. Whatever it does, there will be those that donít agree, simply because it isnít what it used to be. Anyway, the MINI brand has now become more than just a motoring icon, it is now a lifestyle.

A big criticism on the F-series Mini when it came out was on how, wellÖbig it is, and you have to admit, it is big, even when compared to the ...

Aston Martin Jakarta have finally launched the new Vantage for the Indonesian market, and while some like it, others find it a bitÖodd, to say the least. Letís take a look.

Weíll start with the statistics: the Vantage packs a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine from Mercedes-AMG, and if you guessed it came from the AMG GT, then youíre right. Aston Martin and Mercedes made a deal a few years back where they will share their V8 engine as well as entertainment system. More on that later on.

To refresh your memory, the BMW 1M was a two-door compact sports car by BMW produced from 2011 to 2012, packing the N54 engine which was a 3.0L twin-turbocharged straight-six engine, churning out a respectable 335 horsepower through a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1M was by no means a bad car, it had respectable power and was praised by many journalists including the great olí Jeremy Clarkson. Even Chris Harris still preferred the BMW 1M compared to the M2 Ė not the M2 Competition, mind you.

However, there was of course potential from the 1M, and we believe that. BMW would always hold back the performance of their smaller cars so that it doesnít interfere with the sales of itís more powerful models, in ...

If youíve read the Japan trip article, you can tell that Iím a big fan of the Lexus LFA. Itís my number one and on the top of my dream car list. Thatís why itís sad that Ė as far as we know, at least Ė no one in Indonesia owns an LFA. Thatís also the reason I had to go all the way to Japan to even see the car.

Anyway, the Lexus LFA is one of the most exclusive supercars that you can buy, with only 500 units made worldwide itís not exactly common, now is it? Add to that an exquisite 4.8L naturally-aspirated V10 that sounds and goes like no other, the LFA is one of the finest car ever made. Period.

    So, why isnít there ...

So earlier this year I went to Japan, it was technically a family holiday but I had my own agenda: I wanted to meet Kiko Mizuhara. If you donít follow my Instagram (and why havenít you?!) and donít know who she is, basically sheís my idol. Long story short, I failed to meet her and decided to go car hunting and spotting in Japan instead, since Japan is full of unique cars.

Now there are some interesting places in Japan where you can see really cool cars; Ginza, and Bingo Sports with some other hotspots for car meet ups, more on that later on. First, the obvious place to visit was the Toyota Automobile Museum in Nagoya, where it had a very interesting concept: the evolution of the automobile over itís relatively short lifespan.

The museum has three floors, first floor was itís entrance with the first ever Toyota ever made in display, the Toyoda Model AA, then go on to the second floor youíre greeted ...

The Ford Mustang is not exactly a slow car, now is it? Whether it's the EcoBoost or the full-on V8 GT, Mustangs are good enough to give the snob Europeans a run for their money. But what if you want a track-only Mustang that goes faster than any other ...

When choosing the color of your car, youíre usually limited to about 10 choices, and to be honest we donít blame the manufacturers as most of us usually donít buy cars in any other color outside of black, grey, silver, ...

Personally, my favorite Porsche 911 model would be the GT3 with the Touring Package ticked in; the combination of GT3 power, rear-wheel drive, manual gearbox, and without the ridiculous and ostentatious rear-wing. The only problem was that you can't ...
