  • [NEWS] Aero-Fest: Audi Sport Performance Parts for The Audi R8 and TT

The Audi R8 and Audi TT is by no means a boring car, especially the R8 with it's incredible V10. But we'd probably be right in saying that the R8 does look a bit tame and not quite as exotic when compared to the likes of the Huracan and Ferrari 488. Well, if you agree, worry no more, because now there's a way to make your R8 and TT really stand out:

These Audi Sport parts not only add a few bits and bobs on the outside, but also scrape a little bit more performance out of these two very incredible cars. The most obvious bits are on the outside. New aero works and carbon-fibre goodies including a front splitter, canards on the front corners and rear-wings around the same size as an F-22 Raptor fighter jet wings are available on both cars and arenít just for show, they were developed at Audi's wind tunnel and together they double the R8ís downforce at 90mph, and add more than 1000N - equivalent to 100kg - at 200mph compared to the existing aero. The kits also add contrasting highlights on the front air inlets, side sills and the diffuser which are lovely.

Audi Sport also makes two- and three-way coilover suspension available for both cars. Black 20-inch wheels are an option for both too, with sport tyres, saving around 8kg on both models.

TT coupe models with quattro four-wheel drive also benefit from a new carbon-fibre brace bar on the rear axle. This replaces the rear seats and eats into a fair chunk of the TTís boot space, but improves rigidity and saves around 20kg

There's also a titanium exhaust backbox and pipes made by Akrapovic available, which should make some very nice noises.

There are no words on pricing and Audi has only said that it will be available in "German and other markets", but regardless we really like these parts, this will look especially great on the Audi TT, which I honestly can't differ the new one from the old one.
