  • [NEWS] Say Hello To The New Bentley Continental

The current Continental GT seems like it's been made since the dawn of time, but finally a replacement is coming our way, and we've never been so happy to see a new Bentley.

First of all, let's just appreciate how great this one looks. While those headlights might not be everyone's taste, I think we can all agree that the EXP10-inspired look is quite stunning. It looks far more muscular than the outgoing model, with a shorter rear-end which really brings out the coupe look of the Conti GT.

The new Conti is being launched with it's flagship W12 engine, producing 626 horsepower - 44hp more than the outgoing model - which will take the car from 0-100km/h in a respectable 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 207mph. Good enough for us.

The interior meanwhile is as beautiful as ever. Bentley have always made amazing luxurious interior, but the Continental GT takes it to a different level. The switches are incredibly beautiful, while there's a 12.3 inch 'retina-quality' screen as the centrepiece of the infotainment system, which could be stored away, and you could instead have a single wood fascia or three analogue instruments which shows the outside air temperature, a compass, and a chronometer.

But personally, I think the best part is that they've gotten rid of their rather huge and ugly steering wheel.

Other things you need to know is that the car sits on VW's MSB platform which means it shares a bunch of stuffs with the Porsche Panamera. The Conti GT weighs in at 2250kg, which is not even 100kg lighter than the previous car. Regardless, we think it's a beautiful-looking car and is probably going to be one of the best GT cars out there.

According to AutoExpress, Bentley have already started taking orders and deposits, with delivery probably starting in early 2018. So if you're interested, you might want to call up the Bentley dealer and start queuing.
