  • [NEWS] The Caterham Seven Supersprint Is For Those Who Wants To Be A Retro Racer

Caterham makes open-wheel cars without roofs for those driving enthusiasts who doesn't care about comfort or being nice and warm. From the 80 horsepower Sprint to the bonkers 620R, there's a Caterham for everyone, you can buy one according to your driving skills. Now, there's the Caterham Seven Supersprint, which has been fitted with 14-inch cream-colored steel wheels and racing numbers, for those who wants to live the dream of being a retro racer.

It still uses the same 660cc 3-cylinder engine from Suzuki just like the Sprint, but power is up from 80hp to 95hp, which doesn't sound like much but in a car that weighs merely 500kg? Trust me, you would still have a lot of fun.

On the inside, you’ll find quilted, Scottish Muirhead leather-trimmed seats, and a wooden steering wheel. Fancy. Also, if you really want your Caterham to look like a racing car, or you don't have any friends, or your wife refuses to tag along, well you can remove the passenger seat and make this Supersprint a single seater if you'd like.

We know that this is unconventional, but we do like this and we wouldn't mind taking a drive around J-Town in this Caterham. Maybe that's because we're weird and we're stuck in the 1950s. Anyway, if you're interested, only 60 will be made, tying in with Caterham's 60th anniversary.
