  • [VID] Could This Be A Track-Only GT2 RS?

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is by no means a slow car, with it's turbocharged angry flat-6 engine producing 620 horsepower and weighing in 70kg lighter than the GT2, it manages to beat the Huracan Performante's lap record at the 'Ring by a margin of five seconds. Impressive.

However Porsche is not the kind of manufacturer that would be happy with that and call it a day, they're the kid of manufacturer that would push their cars to the absolute limits. This video from Youtuber 19Bozzy92 below shows what seems to be a modified GT2 RS being tested at Monza, take a look:

Now, the differences are quite obvious; that rear-wing is so massive and the rear-diffuser have been changed so much it looks like a GT3 race car from the back. However, there are somethings that makes us think that this is a not their next-gen 911 RSR.

First of all, there's the noise. It sounded rather tame, in fact, it sounded like Porsche's turbocharged engine, and while it's possible that they're going turbo for their next race car, race cars tend to sound much more brutal even if they are turbocharged. The test mule in the video above sounded as if it was a road car.

Also, while there are more air-intakes and whatnots on the front, the front arches doesn't look very wide, certainly not quite as wide as a GT3 car would usually be.

We're betting that this is some sort of an even more hardcore version of the GT2 RS, if not a track-only exclusive. We'll have to wait until there's official news from Porsche, but what do you personally think?
